In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Service is the strongest category. — Service scores 9.5 and staff 9.4, and nearly every guest review singles out the team's attentiveness — several mention staff and the owner by name.
  • Breakfast in bed, done properly. — The in-room breakfast tray is a repeated highlight, with guests praising both the delivery and the choice. Dining scores 9.3.
  • A genuinely quiet location. — Reviewers describe the area as safe, tranquil and handsome, and value being able to come back to calm after sightseeing. It sits 3.5 km from Piazza Navona, with a train station nearby.
  • Rooms and facilities rate highly. — Facilities score a perfect 10 and rooms 9.4. Cleanliness, comfortable beds and large bathrooms are named often in the written reviews.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Comfort is the lagging score. — The Comfort category sits at 7.5, well below the rest of the property's scores. Most written reviews still describe comfortable stays, but it is the one softer metric among otherwise strong results.
  • Set apart from the historic centre. — Piazza Navona is 3.5 km away, and while public transport is close, this is not a step-out-the-door location. Guests recommend the train or a walk through Borghese park to reach the main sights.
  • Small property, limited facilities. — With only eight rooms, the setup is closer to a guesthouse than a full-service hotel. The amenity list is practical rather than extensive — tea and coffee kit, garden, laundry, luggage storage.
  • Early checkout and limited check-in window. — Check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:59, and guests must leave by 10:00. There is also no allowance for pets.

“The room was spotless and the stay relaxing. The staff were welcoming, and being close to the station and local shops was practical. The area felt safe and upmarket, and breakfast was tasty.”

“A beautiful, highly recommended stay at this peaceful guesthouse. The family-run feel and the accommodating Victoria made it special. Decor and cleanliness were excellent, and having breakfast served in the room was a lovely treat. The calm, refined area made for a quiet retreat, while public transport remained close by. I would recommend it for a genuinely good stay.”

“The staff came across as friendly. Wi-Fi worked without a hitch, and the place met expectations.”

“Clean and comfortable, in a quiet, good-looking part of town. It felt homely, and after long days exploring, it was nice to return somewhere peaceful. The hotel itself is not at fault, but I'd skip the train from Piazza Euclide to Piazza del Popolo — it was very dirty. A taxi cost around €5 and was far more pleasant. The hotel staff were also very kind, which made a real difference.”

8.9Verified guest

“Friendly staff, spotless rooms, and breakfast delivered promptly. English was excellent. The location worked well for transport, and the quiet neighbourhood had good local restaurants.”

8.9Verified guest

“We loved the elegance, the neighbourhood, and how quick it was to reach the centre — one train stop to Flaminio/Piazza del Popolo. Staff and manager were very helpful, and service was excellent. Not having other romantic ideas, I asked Alessandro for a honeymoon-style surprise: a room full of flowers. He did a superb job, as though I'd chosen them for my wife myself. We had a great time in Rome, and much of that is thanks to Suite Oriani.”
